Who they were
Miquel de Bianya was born at San Salvador de Bianya on 23 August 1915 and made his simple profession on 25 August 1931, but could not make his solemn profession. The hatred of the persecutor cut his life short at the age of only twenty-one, on 29 July 1936.
He was beatified on 21 November 2015 by Pope Francis, among the twenty-six Capuchin martyrs of Barcelona.
