Who they were
Mugagga, a young courtier and still a catechumen, fearlessly resisted the king's obscene advances. Having declared himself a Christian, he was thrown into prison with the others, and was baptised by Charles Lwanga before his imprisonment.
He went calmly to martyrdom at sixteen. He is one of the 22 martyrs of Uganda, St Charles Lwanga and companions, put to death under King Mwanga.
