Who they were
Mura, born in Donegal about 550, was made Abbot of Fahan by St Columba and was highly esteemed by the high king. He wrote chronicles and a rhymed life of St Columba.
He is patron of the O'Neills and died about 645. His crozier and bell-shrine survive.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
