Nazzareno Gauci (Fra Grazzja Gauci, OSA)
Maltese Augustinian lay brother in Gozo
Who they were
An Augustinian lay brother, known in Malta as Fra Grazzja, who lived at the Augustinian priory in Gozo.
The miracles
No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Maltese Augustinian Province names him a Servant of God alongside the Augustinian tertiaries Henry and Inez Casolani, and has promoted his memory with a published biography and a prayer written by the then bishop of Gozo, Mario Grech; the diocesan inquiry was opened in the diocese of Gozo in 2019.
The cause
The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.
