Who they were
Commemoration of Saints Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicholas, a proselyte of Antioch, who were among the seven, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, chosen by the multitude of the disciples, on whom the Apostles laid hands to carry out the ministry of service to the needy.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 28 July as one of the seven chosen by the disciples, on whom the Apostles laid hands for the service of the needy.
