Who they were
In Lycia, the holy martyrs Niceta and Aquilina. They were converted to Christ by the preaching of blessed Christopher, martyr, and obtained the palm of martyrdom by being beheaded.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: they have been honoured as saints since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Dominican Martyrology (1955) remembers them on 24 July.
