Who they were
Nicolás González Ferrer was born on 1 March 1872 in the village of Vera, in the province and diocese of Almería, and was ordained priest in 1897.
He was killed at Barranco del Chisme on 30 August 1936, and was beatified on 25 March 2017 by Pope Francis, among the companions of José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre.
