Odo of Cambrai

Who they were

Odo, born at Orléans in 1050, became a famous teacher at Tournai and in 1095 a Benedictine monk there, later abbot.

Chosen Bishop of Cambrai, he could not take possession of his see because he refused investiture from the emperor, and was later exiled for the same reason. He died at the monastery of Anchin on 19 June 1113, never having regained his diocese.
