Who they were
Odo, born near Le Mans, became a monk at Baume about 909 and later the second Abbot of Cluny.
Authorised by Pope John XI, he reformed monasteries in Aquitaine, France and Italy, including Subiaco and Monte Cassino, and founded Our Lady on the Aventine in Rome. He was also a peacemaker between rulers. He died on 18 November 942.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
