Austrian Franciscan who founded the Rosary Atonement Crusade for World Peace
Who they were
Born in Innsbruck, Otto Pavlicek left the Church in 1921, returned to the faith as a prisoner of war and became a Franciscan; on 2 February 1947 he founded the Rosary Atonement Crusade for World Peace, which drew large numbers of Austrians to public rosary processions in the post-war years.

Why that counted as sanctity
The nihil obstat is dated 19 November 2000 and the diocesan stage of his beatification process was closed in Vienna by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn on 14 December 2001; the cause has continued in Rome and he is called Servant of God.
