Who they were
With him are commemorated three Egyptian bishops, Hesychius, Pachomius and Theodore, who, also at Alexandria, suffered together with many others in the same persecution and rose to heaven cruelly pierced through with the sword.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
