Who they were
The commemoration of Saints Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch, who were among the seven, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, chosen by the multitude of the disciples and on whom the Apostles laid their hands to carry out the ministry of serving those in need.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 28 July as one of the seven men full of the Spirit and of wisdom chosen by the disciples, on whom the Apostles laid their hands for the ministry of serving those in need.
