Who they were
At Jerusalem, Saints Callinicus, Himerius, Theodore, Stephen, Peter, Paul, another Theodore, John, another John, and yet another whose name remains unknown, martyrs, who were soldiers and, during the occupation of Gaza by the Saracens, were arrested by the enemy but, urged on by the bishop Saint Sophronius, confessed their faith in Christ and for this suffered martyrdom by beheading.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 6 November as a soldier who, taken during the occupation of Gaza by the Saracens, confessed his faith in Christ and was beheaded.
