In the city of Qingyan in the province of Guizhou in China, Saints martyrs Joseph Zhang Wenlan, Paul Tchen, seminarians, John Baptist Luo Tingyin, administrator of the seminary, and Martha Wang Luozhi, widow, who, shut in a hot and damp quarry, suffered atrocious tortures, finally dying beheaded for the faith of Christ.
