Passionist priest, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
A priest of the Congregation of the Passion, born on 19 May 1907 at Alba de los Cardaños in the diocese of Palencia, professed on 23 October 1923 and ordained on 19 June 1932; he joined the Daimiel community in December 1935. He was shot at the railway station of Urda in the province of Toledo on 25 July 1936 with two companions of his congregation. He was beatified on 1 October 1989 by John Paul II, among Nicéforo Díez Tejerina and twenty-five companions of the Congregation of the Passion.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology names him among the Passionist martyrs of Spain.
