Pedro Shaw OMI was solemnly opened on 6 September 2025, competence having passed to the Archdiocese of Asunción. Known as Pa'i Puku, he was an Oblate missionary and apostolic vicar of Pilcomayo who travelled the Paraguayan Chaco on horseback and on foot, founding a school and a radio station for its scattered settlements.
