Who they were
Pedro Sitjes Obiols, born at La Cellera, near Barcelona, on 17 April 1900, made his religious profession in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) on 15 August 1916 and was ordained a priest on 6 June 1925.
He was killed at San Martà de Tous, near Barcelona, on 12 September 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.
