Who they were
At Córdoba in Andalusia in Spain, Saint Pelagius, martyr, who, at the age of thirteen, for having kept his faith in Christ and his chastity against the lewd enticements of the Moorish king ‘Abd al-Rahman III, was on his order torn to pieces with iron pincers, thus completing his glorious martyrdom.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 26 June as a thirteen-year-old martyred at Córdoba for keeping his faith and chastity against the Moorish king.
