Who they were
In the same place (Nicomedia), the passion of Saint Peter, martyr, who, a servant of the chambers of the Emperor Diocletian, having complained without fear of the tortures inflicted on the martyrs, was by order of the same emperor led to a public place and first hung up and tortured for a very long time with whips, then burned on a fiery gridiron. Dorotheus and Gorgonius then, also in charge of the royal chambers, having protested, were punished with similar tortures and finally hanged.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 12 March as a chamberlain of Diocletian at Nicomedia, tortured and burned on a gridiron for protesting at the torture of the martyrs.
