Peter Snow

Who they were

Peter Snow, born near Ripon, was ordained at Soissons in 1591 and sent to England.

Arrested in 1598 on his way to York with Ralph Grimston, he was condemned for treason as a priest, and Grimston for helping him. He was executed at York on 15 June 1598.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
