Who they were
At Rome, the holy martyrs Felix and Philip in the cemetery of Priscilla, Vitalis, Martial and Alexander in that of the Giordani, Silanus in that of Maximus, and Januarius in that of Praetextatus: the Church of Rome rejoices in their joint memory, glorified in a single day by so many triumphs, because from so great a harvest of examples she draws the support of an abundant intercession.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 10 July as a martyr laid to rest in the cemetery of Priscilla at Rome.
