Pierre Bonhomme
French presbyter (1803-1861)

Who they were
Pierre Bonhomme was born and baptised at Gramat, in the diocese of Cahors, on 4 July 1803, showing early a love of study, deep faith and a taste for simplicity and poverty. Ordained at Cahors, he opened a school at Gramat on 11 August 1827 while still a deacon.
He worked wonderfully for popular missions and the evangelisation of the countryside, and founded the Sisters of Our Lady of Calvary to care for the young, the sick and the poor.
