Who they were
In the sea off Rochefort in France, Blessed Pierre-Sulpice-Christophe Faverge, Brother of the Christian Schools and martyr, who, put on a prison ship during the French Revolution because he was a religious, gave every care to his fellow prisoners until, consumed by the contagion, he died piously.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 12 September as a Brother of the Christian Schools who died caring for fellow prisoners on a ship off Rochefort.
