Who they were
Pietro Bonilli was born at San Lorenzo di Trevi on 15 March 1841, to a poor family. Ordained in 1863, he was parish priest of Cannaiola di Trevi for 34 years.
There, on 13 May 1888, he founded the Sisters of the Holy Family of Spoleto, to care for the poor, orphans, the deaf and dumb, the blind and the abandoned.
