Who they were
Near Kraków in Poland, in the extermination camp of Auschwitz, Blessed Piotr Edward Dańkowski, priest and martyr, who, at a time when his homeland was subjected to a foreign military regime, imprisoned for his Christian faith, received martyrdom amid tortures.
