Who they were
Proclus was a lector from an early age and secretary to Patriarch Atticus, who ordained him. Named Archbishop of Cyzicus, he did not force himself on the unwilling people there.
Passed over several times, he at last became Patriarch of Constantinople after the deposition of Nestorius, and died in 446 or 447.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

A patient patriarch who defended the faith after Nestorius.
