Who they were

At Antioch in Syria, in present-day Turkey, the holy martyrs Bernice and Prosdoce, virgins, and Domnina, their mother, who, in a time of persecution, while seeking safety in flight to escape the designs of those who were trying to lay snares for their purity, found martyrdom in the waters of a river.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 14 April as a virgin of Antioch who, fleeing with her sister and her mother from those who threatened her purity, died a martyr in the waters of a river.
