Who they were
Prudentius (Galindo), born in Spain, left in his youth, probably because of the Saracen persecution, and was educated at the Frankish palace school. He became Bishop of Troyes shortly before 847.
He took part in the controversy on predestination against Hincmar of Reims, and wrote a life of St Maura. He died at Troyes on 6 April 861.
The miracles
His feast is kept at Troyes as that of a saint, though the Bollandists did not recognise it.
