Who they were
The decree on martyrdom describes her as a professed religious of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity, born on 15 June 1910 at Añavieja in the diocese of Tarazona, who bound herself by temporary vows on 7 May 1933; in the world she was María de la Purificación Martínez Vera. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.
