Rafael Cubero Martín was a seminary student, of Carcabuey, born on 23 September 1913.

The decree on martyrdom records that he was put to death on 20 August 1936, one of Juan Elías Medina and his 126 companions who died between 1936 and 1939; Pope Francis beatified the group on 16 October 2021.
