Rafael Lobato Pérez was born at Algodonales in Cádiz on 28 February 1905, was unmarried, and was the brother of the priest Salvador Lobato Pérez. He was killed with his brother at El Saucejo on 21 August 1936. Pope Francis beatified him on 18 November 2023.
