Who they were
Rafael Martí Figueras was a diocesan priest of the archdiocese of Tarragona. He was killed at Tarragona on 30 July 1936 in the persecution in Spain. Pope Francis beatified him on 13 October 2013, among the martyrs of Manuel Borràs Ferré, auxiliary bishop of Tarragona, Agapito Modesto and 145 companions.
