René Rouzé

Who they were

René Rouzé was a layman born at Bombon on 11 January 1922 and baptised there on 30 September; he joined the Young Christian Workers of Livry while training in Paris. Recruited for the compulsory labour service, he left Paris on 27 July 1943 for Potsdam and was moved a month later to Hirschberg; arrested on 4 December 1944, he died at Dora on 18 February 1945, aged 23. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV.
