Renée Grillard was one of the ninety-nine martyrs of Angers, put to death by the guillotine or by shooting in 1793 and 1794; the Roman Martyrology names her among them on 1 February, with her sister Marie. She was beatified on 19 February 1984 by Pope John Paul II, with Guillaume Repin and the ninety-eight other martyrs of Angers.
