Laywoman of the diocese of Angers, martyr of the French Revolution
Who they were
The Roman Martyrology for 1 February names her among the blessed women listed together on that day, and the decree on their cause in Acta Apostolicae Sedis 69 (1977) lists her as ‘valin renata’, a laywoman among the ninety-nine servants of God of the diocese of Angers put to death in hatred of the faith in 1793 and 1794 at Angers, by the guillotine or by shooting.
John Paul II declared Guillaume Repin and his ninety-eight companions blessed on 19 February 1984.
