Riccardo Pampuri
Italian medical doctor and Hospitaller Brother, 20th‑century Catholic saint (1897–1930)

Who they were
Erminio Filippo Pampuri, tenth of eleven children, was born at Trivolzio near Pavia on 2 August 1897; orphaned of his mother at three and his father in 1907, he was raised by an uncle and aunt. He graduated in medicine with top marks on 6 July 1921 and became a country doctor at Morimondo.
He then joined the Hospitaller Order of St John of God as Brother Riccardo and ran the dental clinic of their hospital in Brescia, used mostly by the poor and workers, serving them with wonderful charity. About two years later he died.
