The decree on martyrdom lists him among the diocesan clergy joined to the cause of Avelino Rodríguez Alonso and 97 companions of the Order of Saint Augustine, all killed in Spain in 1936; it describes him as a diocesan priest, aged 42. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.
