The Diocese of Como opened the diocesan inquiry into the cause of the Servant of God Roberto Malgesini on 6 June 2026, presided by Cardinal Oscar Cantoni. Don Roberto was a diocesan priest known for daily service to the poor, migrants and homeless of Como, and was killed in 2020 by one of the men he helped.
