Who they were
Romanus was Bishop of Rouen and died about 640. The Catholic Encyclopedia notes that his legend has little historical value and that there is very little reliable information about him. His feast is 23 October.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
