Who they were
At Paris in France, Blessed Rosalie (Jeanne Marie) Rendu, virgin of the Daughters of Charity, who, in a house in the poorest quarter of the city which she turned into a shelter for the needy, strove by every means to visit the poor in their homes, to restore peace during the civil war and to move many, above all the young and the rich, to the practice of charity.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 7 February as a Daughter of Charity who served the poor of the poorest quarter of Paris.
