The decree on martyrdom describes her as a professed religious of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity, born on 29 May 1876 in Madrid, who made temporary vows on 23 January 1898 and perpetual vows on 11 May 1905; in the world she was Rosa López Brochier. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.
