Who they were
At Rome in the monastery of Saint Caesarius, Saint Saba, called the Younger, monk, who with his brother Saint Macarius, at the time of the Saracen devastations, tirelessly spread the cenobitic life through Calabria and Lucania.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 5 February as a monk who with his brother Macarius spread monastic life through Calabria and Lucania.
