At Paris, likewise in France, Saint Aurea, abbess, whom Saint Eligius placed at the head of a monastery he himself founded in this city under the rule of Saint Columban, in which he had gathered three hundred virgins.

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 4 October as the abbess Saint Eligius set over his Paris monastery of three hundred virgins.
