Who they were
Berach, a disciple of St Kevin, spent most of his long life in the Diocese of Elphin and built his church at Cluain Coirpthe, now Termonbarry in County Roscommon.
His holy life drew pilgrims from all Ireland. He died in 595; his crozier survives.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
A holy monk of Roscommon.
