Who they were

Benedetta Rossello was born at Albissola Marina, near Savona, on 27 May 1811, fourth of ten children of humble potters rich in faith. She learned to shape clay and cared for her younger siblings. Her mother, a brother, a sister and her father died in quick succession.

On 22 October 1837 she received the habit as Sister Maria Giuseppa and founded the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy, giving herself fervently to the salvation of souls, trusting in God alone.

The miracles

The Dicastery's biography does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.
