Saint Remigius

Who they were
Remigius, son of the Count of Laon, was born in 437 and studied at Reims, where for his learning and holiness he was chosen archbishop at the age of about twenty-one. His great aim was to spread the faith among the Franks.
With St Vedast and St Clotilde, wife of King Clovis, he brought the king to Christ, and after the battle of Tolbiac baptised Clovis at Reims on 24 December 496, with many of his army. He founded bishoprics and churches, and died at Reims on 13 January 533.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: Remigius has been honoured as a saint since his death. He is called the Apostle of the Franks.
Why that counted as sanctity
Remigius won the king of the Franks and his people to Christ, laying the foundations of Christian France.
