Who they were
Near Rameru in the territory of Troyes in France, Saint Tanca, virgin and martyr, who, as tradition says, faced a glorious death to defend her virginity.

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 10 October as a virgin and martyr who, tradition says, died defending her virginity.
