Salomon Leclerc

Who they were
Guillaume-Nicolas-Louis Leclercq was born at Boulogne-sur-Mer on 14 November 1745, son of a merchant, and went to the Brothers of the Christian Schools' commercial school. He joined them as Brother Salomon and was teacher, novice master, bursar and finally secretary to the Superior General.
Faithful to his duties when the Revolution broke out, he refused the laws that required priests and religious to take the oath. He was killed in Paris in September 1792 with some 190 companions.

A teaching brother who would not betray his faith in the Revolution and died for it.
