Who they were
Salvador Valera Parra was born at Huércal-Overa, in the province of Almería, Spain, on 27 February 1816, and ordained on 13 March 1840. He died on 15 March 1889.
The miracles
Tyquan Hall — Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA — 14 January 2007
A baby boy was born by emergency caesarean at 36 weeks at the Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket, blue, not breathing, with a very low heart rate and no pulse. An hour later, after the doctor had tried to resuscitate him the whole time, no heartbeat could be heard, and the doctor, who had a sincere devotion to Father Salvador, prayed spontaneously for his intercession. Shortly afterwards the baby revived, and he was healed.
Why that counted as sanctity
The case of Tyquan Hall was examined by the Church's doctors and theologians and approved as a miracle on 20 June 2025, opening the way to beatification.
