Who they were
At Ceuta in the territory of present-day Morocco, the passion of seven holy martyrs of the Order of Minors: Daniel, Samuel, Angelo, Leo, Nicholas and Hugolino, priests, and Domnus, who, sent by Brother Elias to preach the Gospel of Christ to the Moors, and having endured insults, prison and tortures, at last won the palm of martyrdom by beheading.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 10 October as one of the seven Friars Minor beheaded at Ceuta for preaching the Gospel to the Moors.
